A native of Minnesota and graduate of North Central University in Minneapolis, MN, Maddie grew up in a great home with loving parents and 3 other siblings as pastor’s kids. She gives great insight into what being a “PK” (pastor’s kid) meant for her, the ups and downs.
She now leads worship and assist her husband with pastoring the youth of River Valley Church-Crosstown Campus.
This episode has such a beautiful rawness to it about breaking down fear and shame. You will be blessed!

S2 Episode #4 Chad Johnson-Author, Speaker, & Founder of Come & Live-“Deconstructed for Reconstruction”By cyrenade — 4 months ago
Beginning his life as a missionary kid living the first chunk of his life between the Caribbean and South America, Chad would describe himself as a “hellion” in his younger years. Having a passion for music and art, but knowing that singing and playing wasn’t his gifting, he kept his passion and dove into the business side of music starting a label on 10 credit cards! You will be inspired as you hear his story starting from very humble beginnings to becoming the A & R (Artist & Repertoire) for Tooth & Nail Records, one of the biggest independent Christian rock record labels in the world.
A husband, father, and servant of God, Chad takes us through each phase of his life, where he went through a season of arrogance, living what looked like the “perfect” life on the outside, while on the inside, struggling internally and living a life far from God. He leads us up to where his life is today, after surrendering every area of his life completely to God, making a huge life shift, and becoming the founder of Come & Live (www.comeandlive.com) , an incredible organization that provokes and inspires artists all over the world to proclaim the revolutionary message of Jesus outside the church.
He leaves us with four challenges that really gives us motivation to live the Great Commission.
Matthew 28:19-“Therefore go and make disciples of all nation, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

If you feel like you don’t fit in or you know someone who feels like that, this is the perfect episode to listen to!!
Philip Shorey comes from a 4-generation family of unique international puppeteer evangelists, who used the art of marionette to spread the gospel of Jesus around the world. He is a seasoned musical composer and the founder of Suitcase Sideshow-which is a fringe theater that brings a message of hope to the far corners of the world and the author of Kill Your Art-a book based on how to surrender your art to God to be used in a ministry context.
Philip is also the director of the Minnesota base of Steiger International (www.steiger.org), a worldwide mission organization that is called to reach and disciple the Global Youth Culture for Jesus. In his teen years he walked away from God, bored of the family ministry, and pursued his dreams of rock and roll. God called him back, he met his lovely wife, Sari, and the rest is history. You will be intrigued as Philip shares his unique life story and how doors have opened in the most unusual places for Suitcase Sideshow to minister all over the world. The ministry that God does through Philip and his family is a prime example of Luke 10:2-“The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers in his harvest field.”
