Passionate, excited, imperfect woman set out to change the world for Christ through Love & Music!
Cyrena Denniston is originally from Seattle, WA. She has her Bachelor’s Degree in Music from Seattle Pacific University (2001).
She has been leading worship for over 25 years, and her past also includes teaching general music for elementary and middle school, as well as establishing Cultivating Vocals, an all-ages vocal coaching company, before moving with her family to Minnesota in 2008. For the past 10 years, Cyrena has continued worship pastoring and leading, as well as speaking and teaching at conferences and various events, including Pure Worship Institute, held at North Central University, here in the Twin Cities.
A seasoned veteran of singing the National Anthem, she has performed for every level from high school to professional sporting events and for charitable organizations.
Cyrena has also fronted the Christian Nu-Metal Rock Band Ministry, Seed since it’s founding in 2013. They released their debut EP, Breaking Ground, as well as their debut music video, LGA (Let God Arise) in 2017. Their goal is to reach the Global Youth Culture of this generation who would never set their foot in the church with the gospel of Jesus Christ through their testimonies and music.
In March 2017, Cyrena launched an international podcast, Transformational Worship, created as a safe haven for everyone to come and receive encouragement to live the life that God has created for them.
Cyrena serves in several ministries out of the Twin Cities, including Pulse Movement, Heart Of The City Band, Merge, and Steiger Minnesota. Cyrena and her family attend and serve at River Valley Church.
Cyrena is a proud wife to her husband of 15 years, Dave, and mother to their daughters, Gabby (12) and Eva (5). Her motto is to always remain a passionate, intentional woman set out to change the world for Christ through love and music.
